Both employers and employees can contribute substantially to the safety and health of the workplace, but to do so they must be aware of recognized safety standards, proactive in preventing accidents, and able to identify unsafe and unhealthy conditions. We believe that education and training are primary factors in creating a safe and secure workplace. Such education and training can enable companies to identify mechanisms to eliminate identified hazards.
We hope that you benefit from MOSH’s free educational training program and find it valuable in your organization’s everyday work environment.
The Division of Labor and Industry also offers free workshops on the laws surrounding Wage and Hour Information, the Maryland Healthy Working Families Act, and Prevailing Wage and Worker Classification. We also hold an informative workshop titled “This is MOSH,” which is an overview of MOSH and how they can help employees and employers.
