MTBMA’s Metropolitan Project Opportunities meeting, held on October 30th, brought in over 100 attendees who currently do business or are looking to possibly start doing business within the metropolitan area.  This presentation informed members on the next fiscal year’s transportation plans with VDOT, DelDOT, DDOT, and WMATA – to include upcoming project opportunities to be released along with bid dates and estimated budgets. This meeting offered members the opportunity to meet with various directors and secretaries of these modals, along with other industry representatives from the construction, engineering and materials side.

We had the honor of Christopher Lawson, DC Division Administrator, Federal Highway Administration help moderate the program where we heard from: Jeff Marootian, Director, District Department of Transportation, Rob Cary, Deputy Commissioner, Virginia Department of Transportation and Paul Wiedefeld, General Manager and CEO, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
